My name is Luke, and on 16th August this year I will be taking on Ironman Leeds to raise money for the Stroke Association. This challenge is deeply personal to me. Stroke has had a devastating impact on my family. In 2023, I lost my gran(on left) after she suffered a stroke, and in 2025 my auntie Esther sadly passed away following her second stroke. Losing them has been heartbreaking, and their absence is something I carry with me every day.

By pushing myself through this incredibly tough challenge, I want to honour their memory and help support a charity that provides vital care, research, and support to those affected by stroke and their families.
