Penny's Charity Wing Walk!

To mark my 70th birthday I’ve gone to great lengths to avoid a party and have decided instead to do a wing walk, hopefully raising funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital and Gloucestershire Eye Therapy Trust.

Many of us are aware of the important and meaningful work done at Bristol Children's Hospital. Three of my good friends had daughters treated there, and although two little girls didn’t respond to their treatment, their families will be forever grateful to the medical staff whose time and care makes such a difference.

The other charity I am fundraising for is the Gloucestershire Eye Therapy Trust. I worked in the Orthoptic Department at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for 15 years and saw first hand the work the trust does, providing the best possible equipment for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of eye disease.

I’m going up, weather permitting, on April 5th and would really appreciate any donations for the two charities. The money collected will be split equally as both of these causes do so much for so many. Every donation counts, no matter how big or small, so please give what you can!
