Dear Friends and Family,

Our beloved Penney and her beautiful family need to lean on us all now for your support.

Penney’s beloved daughter Lucy is very poorly, she has several serious health

issues and is currently waiting for emergency abdominal surgery, this also means

there will be a long recovery time for her to heal and recuperate.

Lucy is a Mum to three beautiful children and is currently bed bound at her home in

Nottingham. The family have had to create a space downstairs for Lucy in her home

as she finds stairs difficult to navigate, her bedroom door opens out onto her garden

which needs some serious care and attention.

As many of you know during Penney’s career to date, she has spent a huge amount

of time educating people on sustainability and environmental issues and her big

passion is foraging, creating community gardens and eliminating food poverty in her

local communities and beyond. Penney now needs your help. She would like to

create a beautiful space for Lucy to recover in, a garden that is calm and peaceful for

her to spend time in with her family.

We need your help to raise money for materials, most of which Penney will be

sourcing locally or upcycling. We know financially not everyone will be able to afford

to donate so if you can donate some of your time or perhaps a plant or tree, please

let us know. We will need people to paint, put up a shed, lay slabs, do joinery, make

the tea, do planting, feed the crew etc.

We are trying to raise £2000 in total to give Lucy’s garden a complete makeover. DIY
