Penn South Co-op Council and Neighbors Helping Neighbors Invite Cooperators to Make a Donation as a Thank You to Our Essential Workers
In the midst of the pandemic our essential workers—porters, maintenance staff, security officers, and powerhouse crew—are working extra hard here at Penn South to keep our buildings safe and clean, often commuting from far away, and putting themselves and their loved ones at risk. To express our gratitude, please consider donating to a collection fund for our essential frontline workers who have been working on site at Penn South during the pandemic.
We know that everyone's resources are stretched thin, but even small donations add up and together we can make a difference. We are happy that the Penn South Credit Union has jump-started this effort with a pledge of $5,000.
A special account is being created with the Penn South Credit Union. All funds will be deposited in this account and distributed from it.
Contributions will be given to each employee as a gift, since the collection and distribution is not being undertaken by their employer, but by neighbors in Penn South.
This special thank you fund will be exclusively for the 110 members of the staff who have been working on-site at the co-op during this pandemic.
