Pemberton Pool Fundraising

We are fundraising for our Pemberton Pool, and we need your help!

Our local Pemberton Pool is a pretty special place, and the history of the pool is quite unique.

Originally designed, funded, and constructed all by the hard work and community spirit of the local residents – work on the pool started in 1928 when a scheduled fundraising saw almost every worker and local citizen donating 5s. out of their pay cheque to fund the project (approximately $25 in today’s money).

Our Pemberton Pool has been community owned and maintained since that time - for almost 100 years.

Today, the pool and its facilities are showing their age and could really use some TLC.

Our goal: to raise $100,000 to go toward refurbishing the Pemberton Pool and its facilities - futureproofing a historical part of our town and respectfully continuing to uphold the legacy of community spirit that established this amazing asset in the first place!

*We also plan to utilize the funds and community support raised to apply for grant funding.

Our local Pemberton Caravan Park have donated $10,000 to kick things off! (PCP is a community owned not-for-profit business)
