Help Us Keep Neurokind Going — A Neurodivergent-Led Lifeline for Women
Hi, I’m Lydia, and a year ago I set up Neurokind — a neurodivergent-led peer support group for women in my local area.
Our small team of counsellors and an occupational therapist, each with lived experience and specialist professional knowledge, came together to create a safe, supportive space where women who experience the world a little differently can connect, share, and thrive.
When we first put the word out, we had no idea what to expect — but the response was incredible. Over the past year, we’ve met every month, and in that time we’ve laughed, cried, learned, and bonded.
Our members tell us that Neurokind feels like a truly safe and inclusive space, that it’s been a lifeline, that they’ve learned from us and from each other, and that for the first time they’ve felt seen, heard, and accepted for who they are.
Sadly, the charity that was funding this activity has decided to take a different direction, and we’re now at risk of losing the group we’ve worked so hard to build.
But we’re not giving up.
Myself and the team are committed to giving our time completely free of charge — we just need help covering the basic running costs like:
Room hire
Refreshments
Fidget tools
Arts and craft materials
Every single contribution, no matter how small, will help us keep Neurokind alive while we apply for longer-term funding.
If you believe in creating spaces where women can connect, belong, and be understood, please consider supporting Neurokind.
Together, we can make sure this lifeline continues.
Thank you so much for your support,
Lydia
