Pedaling 4,000km for Community & Connection–Support the Ride

Imagine traveling 4,000km on a cargo bike, through harsh outback landscapes, all in the name of community, inclusion, and active ageing.

That’s exactly what I’m doing—cycling solo from the Gold Coast to the Winton Outback Festival and back, proving that adventure knows no age limits!

This isn’t my first extreme ride.

I’ve previously cycled solo and unassisted from the Gold Coast to Perth, covering Mount Isa, Uluru, and the Simpson, Gibson, and Great Victoria Deserts.

That journey was a personal challenge—this time, I’m riding for others.

As the founder of Cycling Without Age Gold Coast, I’ve witnessed firsthand how a simple bike ride can bring joy, dignity, and connection to older adults.

Now, I’m taking this mission to the extreme, showcasing the power of human resilience while raising awareness for those who often feel forgotten in our fast-paced world.

This journey is about more than just pedaling—it’s about inspiring change, celebrating inclusion, and proving that age is no barrier to adventure.

Along the way, I’ll be shining a spotlight on active ageing, resilience and adventure.
