Hi Everyone! We are looking to purchase used bicycles for our unhoused friends in Pensacola, Florida, who don't have access to public transportation . We think we can provide a person with the ability to get to their doctor's appointments or jobs with a $30 - 50 donation!

For context: We are an autonomous collective in Pensacola, Florida, who host a community potluck and free store every Friday at 6 PM in MLK Jr Plaza on Palafox St. Each Friday, we serve and eat with about 85 - 125 people, many of whom are living in extreme poverty. Unfortunately, Pensacola has extremely limited public transportation, which has left many of us stranded during normal commuting hours.

We receive at least 2 requests for bicycles every week, and we think we can purchase quite a few used ones for $30 - 50 each. A few of us have already donated our own bicycles that we weren't using enough to justify letting them collect dust when someone else could be using them daily. If you'd like to do that too, DM us on Instagram or Facebook @PensacolaFNB!! In addition, if you need a fix on your bike, stop by the plaza on Friday, and we will troubleshoot it together.

If we raise more than we are able to find in used bicycles, we will use any additional funds to help folks with new tires, inner tubes, brake pads, chains, and whatever else we can!
