Hi, I have created this GoFundMe for my niece Aniya whose father was tragically murdered a few days before Fathers day on the 11th June 2025.

Prior to his death my sisters husband Winston was a hard working individual supporting his family as a PPV operator. He wanted so much for his little girl and would provide for her future but unfortunately his untimely demise has now led to his widow (my sister) being the sole provider of their 10 year old daughter who was diagnosed in her early years as being Non verbal level 3 on the Autistic spectrum (Severe level).

As you can appreciate being a Non verbal Autistic child already has its challenges particularly in Jamaica where resources for individuals such as Aniya are limited and very expensive and whereas before my sister and my brother in law were just about able as a team to try to provide the required necessities for my niece. It is now proving impossible for my sister to maintain Aniya's needs and unfortunately the Jamaican government is unable to provide the necessary assistance or adequate funding's to help or support her or many others like her.

Despite the fact that throughout all of this my sister has continued working without any respite to even grieve properly she continues to set out each morning for work as usual and doesn't get home until late. Understandably she doesn't spend much time with Aniya who really needs her mother at this critical time but due to these circumstances whilst she isn't at school due to the summer holidays, spends a lot of time with my mum (grandmother). My sister is trying very hard to provide for Aniya and sustain her needs but she is finding it increasingly difficult in an almost futile situation with regards to maintaining Aniya's wellbeing and progress.

Aniya is an intelligent child albeit her challenges and can be very affectionate She loves "big hugs" and interacting playfully with her family she tries to be helpful and thoughtful in her own little ways, she enjoys listening to her favorite songs. Aniya has started to say the odd words here and there and making a two word sentence since attending school, however lately she has been experiencing nightmares and frequent emotional outbursts and we fear regression in terms of her autism possibly as a result of her fathers death. Despite these setbacks we are desperately trying to give her the opportunity to get through this upheaval in her life as best as possible hence I am reaching out to seek help or support from family, friends or caring persons who wish to donate to this worthy cause of bringing some very much needed relief to my sister and my niece Aniya who really needs your help. Those who know me knows I am a private person and so is my family and have pride. Therefore asking for your support is a big thing for me and my sister. The sole purpose of this GoFundMe would be to help provide speech and language therapy, behavioral therapy, school fees which will enable her to continue special education. (without funding it will be highly likely she will lose her place!)

Her school uniform and equipment , transportation fees for a specified driver to drive her to and from school as this would have normally been her father but has obviously been taken away from her now, also for the services of a chaperone to shadow her during daily activates as required by the school, the list goes on.
