Hi I’m mORGANICo the original artist behind the creation of the Peckham Totem Pole in 2013. Since it’s birth that year it’s had some good wear & tear throughout the years so we are fundraising now to help give it some TLC with a much needed fund to provide for its future maintenance once the current restoration is complete.

The funds raised will be used to pay for its future care with yearly recoatings of wood preservative & boiled linseed oil, removing graffiti & repairing damage to it.

This public work of art was originally commissioned by Southwark council is very popular with the community so we know it’s important to have it restored to its former glory and maintained each year during the drier months.

Big thanks to the Southwark Council Cleaner Greener Safer program for supporting the restoration project also.

Now is the time to give some love to our cultural treasures while we are still able to do it …

I will be removing this red & brown paint someone splattered on it by re chiselling the entire sculpture by hand to bring it back to life.

And I will be filling the cavities at the base of it that have appeared and recreating the missing angel wings at the top & recarving the egg planet section visible at the top here for them to rest on.
