Peaceful Periods Project

Our 2023 service project has ended. We will not be accepting any more donations in 2023. Thank you for your support!

The 2023 Peaceful Periods Project, an annual family service project, will collect donations from February 22, 2023, to April 2, 2023.

Our main goal is to provide Worry Free Days (days when a person doesn't have to worry about where their period supplies come from). Since 2015 we have provided 42,464 Worry Free Days (WFD) to McLean County through your generous donations. In 2022 alone, we provided 12,122 WFD!

Last year via GoFundMe we collected $1225. We also have an Amazon Wish List to make it easy for you to select the supplies you want to donate and have shipped directly to us to distribute. Donations may also be mailed to PO Box 231, Downs, IL 61736 made out to Nancy Cruse with Peaceful Periods Project in the subject line.

The Peaceful Periods Project collects and distributes Period Products to those who menstruate in McLean County. Started in 2015, formerly known as Project Love the Ladies, we changed our name in 2022 to be more inclusive of transgender and non-binary people.

100% of monetary donations (less GoFundMe fees) are used to buy product for our three benefactors: Neville House Domestic Violence Shelter, School Street Food Pantry, and the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

We are not tax-exempt. We are not a 501C charity. We are just a group of women trying to help others through our annual service project. Donations are NOT tax-deductible.
