House Fire

During the severe thunderstorms in Upstate NY, many lost electricity. Wednesday and her family not only lost power but their entire electrical box caught on fire when a transformer blew up near her house. Around the same time, their family was diagnosed with Covid and their car started having problems.

Wednesday is the mother to four children who live at home and is currently on maternity leave for her youngest son who is only a few weeks old. She is also a full-time caregiver for her adult brother who lives with them. The house is currently uninhabitable with no electricity and fire damage in the basement. They are currently staying with a relative and are requesting assistance from the American Red Cross.

I am raising money for hotels, food, and other expenses that accumulate with being without a home. Wednesday and her family are also looking for volunteers to help with repairs and have expressed interest in being involved in a food train as they have lost all their frozen/refrigerated food with no power. I have faith in this community that we can come together and help our neighbors.
