The DeShields want to make a baby

We are Jeffery and Carin DeShields.  Three months after our wedding September 15th 2013, Jeffery was diagnosed with cancer, Burkitt’s lymphoma to be exact.  He was put on a rigorous schedule of chemo therapy and steroids.   We are happy to say Jeffery is cancer free for over one year now and is going strong!

We have always dreamed of having children and luckily we were able to make a one-time deposit to the sperm bank before Jeffery started his chemo therapy.  However, with the bills from the wedding, the chemo, and the sudden death of Jeffery's father in June, we have not been able to put together a fund for artificial insemination. 

Jeffery has recently been tested and is sterile, one of the side effects for the chemo therapy and it seems the only way we can have a child is through IVF.  We are asking for donations because the longer we wait the less chance we have of it working, as I myself am in my 30's...

All funds we receive will go toward the medications, processes, and doctors’ fees for our yet to be conceived baby.  If by chance there is extra monies it will be immediately donated to the baby's college fund.
