On July 12th my family and I lost our home to a detached garage fire. My parents first bought the house when they got married. It’s my brother and I’s childhood home and our only home. The fire spread through the garage, damaging a vehicle parked inside and spreading to another vehicle in between the home and garage. It caught onto our home through the attic. We lost 3 cars in the fire, 1 of them being my dad’s work car. The 4th car has minor damage from the heat but it’s still drivable. Our home is completely destroyed. My room is the worst of them all. The ceiling caved in while the firefighters worked to put out the attic fire. The other rooms have water damage but we were able to salvage most of our family memories and personal belongings. 24 hours after the fire, the kitchen and hallway ceilings have also collapsed.

We are currently separated, trying to make living situations work with our 2 dogs.

While insurance will cover most of the damage, we are in need of help with covering daily life expenses like food, personal items, laundry costs, transportation, etc. I’d like to ask anyone seeing this to share and donate if you can. Anything is appreciated.
