As news of Sandra’s situation has spread, some of you have been asking how you can support Sandra and Danny through this difficult time, so this page was created to provide friends with a tangible and meaningful way to help.
On April 20, 2026, Sandra suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. She underwent her first craniotomy on April 23, but has subsequently faced serious complications since, including stroke and significant brain swelling. This has led to two additional surgeries. Right now, we are holding onto hope for stability as she continues to fight and heal.
Unfortunately as the situation has evolved, we are beginning to grasp the magnitude of the situation and difficult journey ahead for Sandra and her family. But Sandra is strong—and she is not alone.
As many of you know, Sandra is a deeply loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She brings light, kindness, and compassion to everyone around her. She has always shown up for others—whether that meant being there in times of need or even opening her home to foster kittens, giving them care, safety, and love until they could find families of their own. That’s just who Sandra is—someone with a truly generous heart who helps wherever she can.
How You Can Help
Your support will take financial pressure off of Danny so he can make decisions solely based on what he feels is best for Sandra and their 3 young children. It may be used to support:
-Medical costs
-Enabling Danny to take time off work as needed to care for Sandra and their children—Kingston (9), Wally (3), and Sabine (1)
-Childcare and household expenses
Every Bit of Support Matters
If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers, love, and words of encouragement are just as meaningful and deeply appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Sandra and her family. Your support, in any form, means more than words can express.
With love and gratitude,
Sandra’s friends
