Payton and Harper Wang in memory of Daddy
Donation protected
My name is Jamie Wang, and I am fundraising for my twin girls, Payton and Harper. The money will be used for education, sports, music, and any other local events they are interested in attending. My husband, Yu-Pang Wang, was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer less than a year ago. He was very private about his diagnosis because he didn't want anyone to worry about him. He loved his family and did everything that he could to fight so that he could be here to see the girls grow up, but the cancer was just too aggressive. I struggled with creating this fundraiser because I wanted to honor his privacy and focus more on a positive future rather than the grief and struggle that the last year has been for our family.
Shortly after his diagnosis, I decided to pull the girls out of preschool, and our family quarantined so that his risk for covid exposure was minimal. Yu was upset because the girls loved school. He wanted to see them enjoying activities with other kids, such as soccer, swimming, and gymnastics. Unfortunately, he passed right before the girls started Kindergarten, and we believe he is watching over us everyday. I will put part of the money raised into the girl's college fund. The other part will allow the girls to participate in activities they haven't been able to do. He would have been so proud to watch them have fun and learn new things. To keep this positive, please feel free to offer suggestions on activities or local events that you think the girls would enjoy! I'll post pictures and update everyone on our journey.
So many of our family, friends, and coworkers have assisted us through grieving. So many more, including people I don't know, have been asking what they can do to help. Anything that you can donate is greatly appreciated!
I look forward to posting updates and messages from the girls.
