Hi my name is Deona. I am 28yrs old. I have Been a homemaker and married for 10 yrs and have been abused emotionally, physically, financially for the past 10 yrs of marriage. I just completed my associates degree in nursing to become a RN and won’t be able to start new job until the new year of 2024. I have separated from my husband over 6 months ago, but during this time he has withheld finances, and refuse to help maintain the home and support of the children. He has taken marital property( my vehicle) away from me causing me to be without proper transportation. This has affected how I am able to provide adequate care to my children, as I cannot take them to school, appointments or even start my new job. All bills are currently behind, causing the lively hood of my children to be at jeopardy. I am asking for help with gaining legal aid so I can initiate the necessary steps to protect my children from home displacement and to stop the financial abuse.
