This fundraiser is for Paul Felshaw, being held in an account listed for Paul Beckstead.
My husband, Paul Felshaw, works hard everyday to provide for our family. He has Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair fulltime. He works from home now...due to no accessible workplace available. He works for an employment agency, helping others locate and secure employment. The individuals he helps are usually at the 'end of their rope' and need a lifeline.
I am on disability. Our combined income does not afford us the luxury of a substantial savings. Any monies saved go towards necessary medical needs.
Paul loves going outside. He loves 'rolling and strolling' on his days off. He loves being able to travel to a nearby town to see friends. Being in nature can be rejuvenating and healing.
Our lives are difficult. But, we are both survivors. We keep pushing on.
We live in a rural area. There is no public transportation within a 90 mile radius. Our driveway is unpaved. For approximately six months of the year (dependent upon weather)....Paul is limited to our home. He cannot get out of the house, at all. Why? Because, the rain, snow and moisture makes the driveway impassable. This is not only a leading cause of seasonal depression....it is also dangerous. In an emergency....he is stuck in the house.
We would like to have our entire driveway paved. This would run at least $8,000. We have tried saving over the past 12 years. Everytime we save money...another need (usually medical) comes up and takes away any savings. We have not been able to afford luxuries such as Christmas gifts for all 12 of those years. We have lived in our current home for 7 1/2 years. We own the property. We need financial assistance to allow Paul the privilege of being able to just get outside. At times this would be for mental health well-being. Other times it would be for physical well-being. And in emergencies, it would be essential.
Please consider donating to a very worthy cause....an individual's basic needs.
