Help with Donna & Johnny's IVF Journey
Donation protected
Johnny & Donna got married August 2019; eager to start a family, they started trying to conceive. After a year of trying, they decided to seek assistance at their local fertility clinic in Sudbury. They underwent diagnostic testing to try to find out why they had not been successful. They were initially diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Over the course of the next year, they underwent IUI treatments (this consists of medications combined with a procedure, performed by the doctor, to increase the chances of fertilization).
After three failed IUI's, one miscarriage, and a new diagnosis of a diminished egg reserve, they were referred to the fertility clinic in Toronto, to start IVF. They were told that IVF would be their best chances in conceiving, and that they needed to start the process right away due to their new diagnosis. They underwent an IVF Retrieval in February 2022; this resulted in two embryos, frozen for transfer at a later date. Because Donna has diminished ovarian reserve, their Fertility Doctor recommended that they proceed with a second IVF retrieval as soon as possible. This has been scheduled for April 2022.
Now comes the part where we ask for your help... As most people are aware, the IVF process is very expensive. Each IVF retrieval consists of medication costs ($6000-$12000), procedure costs ($18700), as well as costs for travel and accommodations, as Johnny and Donna are required to travel 4 hours South for IVF treatment (Sudbury does not offer IVF).
We know times are hard for everyone, so we are more than grateful for any help you can provide them to ease this financial burden. Please help share their story, or leave any advice you may have to help navigate this process. We are also welcoming Good Vibes and all the Baby Dust!
