I'm Paul, and every year I take on one silly challenge to raise serious funds for charity. This year it's a big one.

Along with 4 friends, I'm climbing Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa's highest peak at 5,895m.
We're tackling the 6-day private Rongai route, the quietest and least crowded way up the mountain, approaching from the north near the Kenyan border.
Expect freezing summit nights, thin air, long days on our feet, and a serious physical and mental test to reach Uhuru Peak.

We fly out on the 28th September for 9 days in total.

We're raising money for Mamatoto, a brand new UK-registered charity (no. 1217765) set up by the wife of one of our group.

Mamatoto is run entirely by volunteers - a team of UK midwives and Tanzanian health professionals - supporting and equipping women and healthcare workers in Tanzania through pregnancy and beyond.

Each of us is committing to raise a minimum of £4,000 through donations, events, and by sharing our training along the way.

This page is my personal contribution to our group total.

Every donation, big or small, gets us closer to the summit and closer to the target.

Thanks for your support.
