Paul O’Brien’s TY 2025 Kisiju Mission Funding
Donation protected
Last year, myself along 11 other students learnt that we were able to go on a trip to help the mission group in September or October 2025 for 10 days. For the 10 days, we’ll be helping out the children in Kisiju by teaching them English and Maths, and hopefully we’ll be visiting any facilities that have been built within the last few years.
Kisiju is a small, village by the coast 100KM south of the capital Dar Es Salaam. The terrain is mainly bushy and has soil salinity issues, which makes growing crops extremely difficult. Life for those who live there is tough living in mud huts with no electricity or running water.
Due to the nature of this trip, €3000 must be fundraised. This includes things such as flights and vaccines. Most fundraising will be doing throughout the year by hosting events, however extra help via donations is greatly appreciated. Those who don’t raise the money will sadly not be able to go, however the money will still go towards the mission. Any spare money will be given to those who will be going in order to help them with their fundraising.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh as bhur gcuid tacaíochta! / Thank you for your support!
