Paul Nugent is a special person, known and loved by so many of us. A treasured son, father, brother, friend, footballer, colleague, not to mention chancer and downright boyo!
As many of you know Paul has been on an extraordinarily difficult journey the last few years. We his friends and family are committed to working on a plan to significantly improve his quality of life by securing his return to a suitable facility in Dublin.
All that is needed are sufficient funds to cover the cost of a maximum of 12 weeks privately funded residential care, after which State funding will be in place - Paul must be physically in Dublin before an application for that State funding will be accepted and processed, so it is impossible for him to wait out the 12 weeks in Scotland where he currently resides in Belhaven House in Troon, Scotland.
Funds donated to this campaign will be paid into a bank account that has been set up specifically for it, in the name of Eimer McGovern, and that is being managed by Eimer, Orla Gray and Ann Hodgins. Amounts raised here will be used to fund Paul's stay at Marymount Care Centre, Lucan, for a period of up to 12 weeks, and they will be discharged directly from the bank account to Marymount.
All contributions will be hugely appreciated by Paul and all of his supporters.
