Patriot Recovery Residences is a 501c3 nonprofit located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We offer stable and safe housing for veterans, allies and women who are in recovery from alcohol or substance use disorder, or may be struggling with mental health issues or homelessness.

We were able to purchase our first residence located in Northeast Cedar Rapids in January 2024. Patriot House is a shared living house with capacity to house 8 men and 4 women. Both the mens and womens sections of the house have a full kitchen, shared bathrooms, and a meeting room. Each occupant has a fully furnished private room with a queen sized bed, a dresser, a window air-conditioning unit, a TV and in some cases a mini-fridge.

In addition to safe and stable housing, Patriot House offers in-house programming such as all recovery meetings, weekly house meetings, and we currently have two peer recovery coaches who live in the house alongside residents. We also connect residents to community resources such as financial assistance, educational assistance, and we have partnered with CRUSH of Iowa to provide recovery resources. We are currently developing a holistic healing program for residents and hope to launch this in the near future.

Funds raised through GoFundMe will go directly back into the program to cover monthly expenses and purchase appliances for the house. We currently are in need of a gas stove, a washer, and a dryer.
