In a few months, I will be participating in the Maui Marathon on April 21, 2024. In addition to my training, I will also be working with a wonderful local foundation in order to fundraise for a cause that is very near and dear to my heart.

Patrick’s Purpose is a foundation here in Newport Beach that serves to raise funds and awareness in order to promote teen mental health and suicide prevention. Founded in 2018, Patrick’s Purpose works with schools and organizations in the area to provide resources, education, and scholarship opportunities to local youth. Some recent highlights include:

- Providing 22 scholarships for seniors who plan to attend a community college or trade school (2023)

- $50,000 donation to Penn State’s Counseling and Psychological Services department (2023)

- Donating children’s books that educate on mental health awareness and best practices to every elementary school in the Newport-Mesa Unified and Irvine Unified School District (2022)

Our goal is to raise $3,000 in order to help fund two Patrick "Patty" Turner Memorial Scholarships. I encourage each of you to consider donating to this cause to help truly create a positive impact in mental health and suicide prevention. Any contribution is welcomed and deeply appreciated.
