My dad, Patrick Florer, is on the tail end of prostate cancer treatment (in remission!), but had to have hip replacement surgery a few days ago.

My mom, Lisa, still works full time - and now has to become dad’s primary caretaker as well.

My parents have worked so hard their whole lives (and still work mostly full time in their 70’s), and have shown us all that navigating these challenges takes grit and determination …. and that they can make it through anything.

If you haven’t met them, Mom and Dad are pretty fantastic. In the last 10 years, Dad has really found his artistic and creative side through woodworking - making amazing pieces of lighting and art like what I included in the pictures.

Recovery will be long and hard.
