Sharing the joy of dance

Hello,  

My name is Patrica Keleher. I am a professional dancer with a passion for social projects. For many  years I have been wanting to share my passion for dance in a different way. 

This year a dream opportunity has been presented to me;  the chance to share dance in a positive way.

I will be working with Milk Carton on a String;  a non-profit organization based in Leogane Haiti  and  founded by a fellow dance  classmate of mine  Caroline Poppell. Her goal is to create safe environments where kids are free to explore, dream, and create.

Milk Carton on a String offers after-school dance classes of ballet, acrobatics, jazz/modern, and creative movement  for ages 3+.  

This summer in the end of August I will travel to  Leogane Haiti where  I will be working directly with Caroline;  We will be  teaching ballet and exploring dance with the children.  As a professional dancer sharing dance in this way has been on my heart for a long time.  I know it will be a life changing experience for me and I am so grateful for this opportunity. I truly believe with  music and movement we have the power to bring  joy to those around us. 

In order to reach my goal and make my way to Haiti I am looking for some help to cover my travel expenses  as well as funds to bring  ballet shoes and leotards/tights  for the children to practice in.  Any little bit will help me reach my goal! I am hoping to raise the funds by the end of May.
