I lived the last three months with my family in unbearable circumstances. My small family is like every other family around the world—My mother, Ahlam, my younger sisters, Ban and Zainab, and me, on a journey to complete my university studies abroad.

We lived in a warm home -shown in the photo- where we decorated our Christmas tree. However, it was destined for us to see it reduced to mere rubble, leaving us with only the warm memories we created together.

My mother and sisters were displaced within the small Gaza Strip six times so far, trying to dodge death, hoping to survive which becomes more challenging day by day.

My sisters separated from my father, who remains stuck in the northern Gaza Strip until this moment.

Ban completed her accounting studies last year and started working shortly before the war began, while Zainab began her first year at university. They had big dreams for their future.

Now, Ban has lost her job, and Zainab has lost her chance to continue her education. They've lost many friends, yet, they, along with my mother, still possess a resilient strength and a great hope for the future, as if all the destruction around them can be magically transformed into a safe space where they can think about tomorrow.

I can't imagine the daily suffering they endure. I had lost contact with them and my father for days and sometimes weeks. My patience comes from their unique ability to endure. However, despite this, they need your help to leave Gaza and attempt to build a temporary life until they can return to our warm home.

The arrangements for leaving the Strip through the Rafah crossing cost $5,000 per person. The additional 2,000 will goes to finance rent in egypt and other life expenses when they arrive. Currently, Rafah border is the only way out of Gaza, and fleeing the war requires this amount. In difficult financial circumstances, my family cannot secure that to escape from the death that spares no one.

This campaign can help them survive and give them real hope for a future that may hold better opportunities for them.

My family before the war

الأصدقاء الأعزاء،

عشتُ الربع الأخير من السنة الماضية مع أهلي ظروف لا يحتملها البشر. لكن بالرجوع خطوات قليلة إلى الوراء، كيف يمكنني أن أتحدث عن أهلي؟ بكلماتٍ بسيطة على مدار سنوات طويلة استطعنا أن نكوّن أسرتنا الصغيرة، تشبه كل الأسر الموجودة في العالم، أمي أحلام، وأختيّ الصغيرتين بان وزينب، وأنا، قبل أن أسافر بمنحة لإكمال دراستي الجامعية.

عشنا في بيتٍ دافىء، هو ذاته الظاهر في الصورة حيث كنا ننتظر نهاية العالم لتجهيز شجرتنا الخاصة. مع ذلك، كان مقدراً لنا أن نراه مجرد حجارة رمادية مهدمة، وظل لنا منه كل الذكريات الدافئة التي صنعناها سوياً.

تنقلت أمي وأختيّ في قطاع غزة الصغير لست مراتٍ حتى الآن في كل محافظاته، محاولين الحفاظ على حياتهنّ، وآملين بنجاة تصبح أصعب يوماً بعد يوم.

انشقت أخواتي عن والدي الذي ظل عالقاً في شمال قطاع غزة حتى هذه اللحظة.

انهت بان دراستها كمحاسبة العام الماضي، وبدأت عملها منذ وقت قصير قبل بدأ الحرب، بينما كانت زينب تكمل سنتها الأولى في الجامعة، امتلكوا أحلاماً كبيرة للمستقبل، على صعيد العمل، وبناء المزيد من الحب والألفة.

الآن، فقدت بان عملها، وفقدت زينب فرصتها في الدراسة، فقدن الكثير من الأصدقاء، مع ذلك ما زلنَ يمتلكن مع أمي قوة قاهرة وأملاً كبيراً حول المستقبل، وكأن كل الدمار من حولهنّ يمكنهنَ بعصا سحرية تغييره لمساحة آمنة يمكن فيها التفكير بالغد.

لا يمكنني التفكير بالمعاناة التي يتحملنها يومياً، أفقد الاتصال معهن ومع والدي لأيام وأحياناً أسابيع، استمد صبري من قدرتهن الخاصة على الصبر. لكنهن مع ذلك، يحتجنَ مساعدتكم لمغادرة غزة، ومحاولة بناء حياة مؤقتة لحين العودة إلى بيتنا الدافئ.

تكلف التنسيقات لمغادرة القطاع عن طريق معبر رفح ما لا يقل عن5آلاف دولار للشخص الواحد. الآن معبر رفح هو الطريقة الوحيدة لمغادرة غزة، ويستلزم للخروج منه دفع هذا المبلغ، في ظل ظروف مادية صعبة، لا يستطيع أهلي تأمين هذا المبلغ للخروج والهرب من الموت الذي لا يستثني أحداً.

بإمكان هذه الحملة أن تساعدهم على النجاة، وتعطيهم أملاً حقيقياً، بمستقبل قد يحمل لهن فرصاً أفضل.
