On December 10, 2025, I experienced a life-changing accident while doing tree work for the church I pastor. I was life flighted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, where I underwent emergency surgery for a ruptured spleen, broke five ribs, and completely tore the rotator cuff tendons in my right shoulder. I spent four days in the ICU, and I am so grateful that the outcome was not worse. Since then, I have been undergoing aggressive physical therapy to prepare for an upcoming rotator cuff surgery.
Because the work I was doing was not covered under workers compensation, and our small historic church is unable to fully support me as a full-time minister, my family is facing a difficult season. I have always worked as a self-employed handyman and carpenter to help provide for our living expenses. Thankfully, our medical bills have been covered by insurance, but after my rotator cuff surgery, I will be unable to work as a handyman for an extended period. This will bring a tremendous financial burden and hardship upon my family.
This fundraising campaign will help us get through the months of recovery ahead. We are deeply grateful for your prayers and any financial gifts you are able to share. Your support means so much to us during this critical time.
