The bar and restaurant industry has been one of the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the loyal staff at Pasta Cosi is no exception. While we are keeping our doors open for takeout, the harsh reality of the situation means many of our employees have been furloughed, left struggling with an overwhelmed unemployment office or applying for grants that just don't have the funds to help everyone.
We are asking the community that has supported Pasta Cosi for the last 27 years, to once again support the ones who have made this restaurant the success it is. All of the funds raised will go directly to our staff members who are out of work right now, unsure when they'll get back to doing what they love to do, taking care of our guests.
Our staff members have kids, rent, bills just like everyone affected these days. But for most of them unemployment means pennies on the dollar compared to what they usually make. Anything you can give would mean the world to them.
This is a difficult time for everyone, not just our staff. Keep all of the bar and restaurant staff members you love in the back of your mind. Remember that time they made you smile or forget about life's problems for a little while. This is a way to return the favor.
We appreciate the Branford and surrounding community for all its support over the years. We can't wait to get back to business and see you all again, especially our beloved working family.
