But most of them don’t have the basic equipment to even start. In fact, one in four children globally have no access to sports equipment, and for many, this simple barrier keeps them from experiencing the life-changing benefits of the game. Soccer isn’t just a sport—it’s a powerful tool for building confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging. Our efforts are focused on creating equal opportunities for youth to engage in a game that brings people together and shapes brighter futures. In fact, according to a FIFA report, soccer programs targeting underserved youth lead to reduced youth violence and increased cohesion. As a child, I dreamed of playing for Chelsea and standing beside my idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. I know what it’s like to hold onto that dream with everything you’ve got—and how important it is to have the tools to pursue it. That’s why I started Pass It Forward: an initiative dedicated to providing soccer equipment to underserved communities and giving every child the chance to play, grow, and chase their dreams.
