Help Restore and Improve Our Survivor Support Hub

For many people, Parents Against Grooming UK (PAGUK) is known for its campaigning, public advocacy, and standing up for survivors when others would not listen.

But PAGUK is far more than demonstrations and public awareness.

For over 20 years, Billy Howarth and the PAGUK team have provided frontline support to survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation, often supporting people through the most difficult and traumatic periods of their lives.

Behind the scenes, this work continues every day.

We support survivors through:

* Trauma-informed counselling
* Emotional support and aftercare
* Court attendance and advocacy
* Guidance through criminal justice processes
* Family support
* Crisis support during disclosures and investigations
* Long-term wellbeing and recovery support

For many survivors, our support hub is the first place they feel safe enough to speak openly without fear or judgement.

It is a space built on trust, understanding, and compassion.

Why We Are Fundraising

After years of continuous use supporting vulnerable survivors, our support hub is now in urgent need of renovation and improvement.

The current environment no longer reflects the standard of care, dignity, and safety that survivors deserve.

We want to transform the space into a calm, welcoming, trauma-informed environment where people can continue to access counselling, advocacy, and support in comfort and safety.

What the Funds Will Be Used For

Your donations will directly support:

* Refurbishment of counselling and support rooms
* Creating a safe, calming, trauma-informed environment
* Furniture replacement and comfort improvements
* Accessibility and privacy enhancements
* Repairs, maintenance, and essential upgrades
* Creating a welcoming space for families and survivors in crisis

Goals

Our Fundraising Goals

We are setting a staggered target so donors can clearly see how their support will be used and the direct impact it will have.

£10,000 – Refurbish and restore the support hub

Our first priority is transforming the internal support space into a calm, safe, and trauma-informed environment.
This will include:

* Refurbishment of counselling and support rooms
* New furniture and comfort improvements
* Privacy and accessibility upgrades
* Essential repairs and improvements to create a dignified space for survivors

£5,000 – Improve and develop the outside space

We also want to create a more welcoming external environment, including:

* Cleaning, repairs, and landscaping improvements
* Outdoor seating or calm space for reflection where appropriate
* Making the entrance and surroundings more welcoming and safe

Anything raised above £15,000 – Ongoing support and sustainability

Any additional funds will go directly into keeping the service running and improving how we support survivors long-term, including:

* Running costs to maintain the hub as a safe space
* Trauma-informed information resources for survivors and families
* Printed materials and promotional awareness resources
* Clear, professional signage to make the service more accessible
* Continued improvements to the environment and survivor experience
