Parent March on Washington

The Parent March on Washington is being organized by the Parenting Rights Institute which I founded ten years ago as a judicial watch organization over our nation's divorce and family courts. Together with other parental rights advocates from around the country I am holding conference calls every Thursday to make this event happen. Its core purpose is to convince Congress and the Justice Department to investigate corruption and abuses of federal funds in these courts.

Children are being needlessly separated or permanently alienated from one or both parents while illegal aliens obtain greater concern from our federal government. Among the examples of corruption we are targeting:

1) lucrative custody wars which should be addressed by a national shared parenting bill.

2)  greater accountability for domestic violence victims including false claims;

3)  Discrimination against fathers resulting in suicides and debtor prisons;

4)  parental alienation;

5)  judicial immunity from accountability

6)  lawyer over billing practices;

7)  child protection reform.

Parents, families and children will benefit with less government regulation and fees. By limiting state authority with greater respect for parental rights, children will receive a well rounded upbringing. Respect for authority in our schools and community will be improved. Worker productivity will be enhanced with less court time, stress, financial losses and the illnesses they cause.

We need to be heard with the largest turn-out possible because government does not see court corruption as a national priority. We need Congress to open public hearings for testimony from court victims everywhere. We also need the Justice Department to open a comprehensive investigation of these courts which have no juries, monitors or meaningful oversight. Such an investigation will open local offices of the federal government to victim complaints which are currently being ignored or suppressed.

The funds are needed to provide transportion, lodging, stage requirements, speakers, permit costs for a large scale March beginning at the White House and ending at the Supreme Court. Such a large scale event requires follow-up over a period of years after the March. Funds will be applied to lobbying, litigant assistance and public awareness activities.

I practiced law for nearly 25 years and became a victim of retaliation by my profession due to my whistle blowing activity. I have seen and experienced the pain and suffering inflicted upon parents, children and families. Such experience coupled with reform activities since 2008 assures donors of my long term commitment and seriousness behind this March and the parental rights movement.
