My name is Renee and I am a 2nd Year Paramedicine Student at Victoria University...... and I need your help!
I am fundraising to go and support the FutureSense Foundation, who work with disadvantaged communities around the world (including Thailand) on grass-roots programs in three core areas: Education & Learning, Health & Wellbeing and Livelihoods & Income Generation.
I will be travelling to Thailand in January 2025
as part of a team of Paramedic students from across Australia. We will be working alongside the FutureSense Foundation to help upskill local first responders, build community capacity in first aid and assist a local hospital in community health screenings. I will be working within remote Hill Tribe communities which have very limited access to healthcare.
In many of the Hill Tribe communities, the only emergency health workers are local volunteers. The landscape and terrain mean that access to healthcare is very limited. I will be working on a range of projects aimed at improving local health and emergency response capacity. I will also get to spend some time in a local hospital helping with basic patient checks and screenings.
I would like to raise money for the trip as there are many associated costs involved and I would like to purchase supplies for the local schools, villages and clinics.
Any donation is so very appreciated.
