Remember Muneco, a tiny, paralyzed puppy who was once on the euthanasia list?

When we first got him, he couldn’t move at all. He just lay there, completely still, and the prognosis was heartbreaking. But we didn’t give up. We believed he deserved a chance.

After months of rehabilitation and physical therapy, Muneco has made incredible progress. He can now hold his head up and eat on his own- small victories that mean everything. While he will most likely never walk, he can still have a happy, full life. His amazing foster recently drove him from Brooklyn to Massachusetts (about 4 hours) to a specialized center, where he’s being fitted for a custom wheelchair built specifically for him, one that will grow with him.

Muneco has already started water therapy and needs many more sessions to help strengthen his muscles. These treatments are critical and very expensive.
