Paragliding for Sudden Sam in memory of Jay
I will be paragliding to raise money for Sudden Sam (all money raised will go to Sudden Sam).
On the 14th of May my whole life changed forever. My husband, Jay was killed in a road traffic incident while riding his motorbike to work, he was only 34.
Jay was such a funny, kind and loving person. He was always making people laugh with his jokes and impressions, and loved singing and playing guitar. He was my whole world and my best friend, we had 15 amazing years together and our whole lives together to look forward to. In a second that all changed and I still cant come to terms with the fact that I will never see him again, hear his voice, give him a hug or see him grow old.
The last few months have been like living in a nightmare, and I honestly dont know how I get through some days. Sudden Sam have helped me massively. They have offered so much support and were able to provide counselling sessions weeks before the NHS (even with an urgent GP referral).
Sudden Sam ensure that, families of loved ones who have died suddenly feel supported, both emotionally and financially and that the community, through public awareness, develop a greater understanding and empathy of their suffering.
You never know what is around the corner, and charies like Sudden Sam offer a lifeline for people who have lost someone they love suddenly. I would like raise money for Sudden Sam in Jays memory to help support other families unfortunate to share this fate.
