At this time last year we were excitedly getting ready to open Par 3 at Poplar Creek. Those of you who have been coming to Poplar Creek for years, know that we are a family. It has been an honor to meet all of you and be so warmly welcomed.. Today, instead of planning our 1 year anniversary and thanking all of you for making our first year a success, I am writing to ask for your assistance.
44 members of our staff are without work and have no hope of finding work during these unprecedented times. With a very high cost of living in the Bay Area many are struggling to pay rent, put food on the table, and take care of their families. Any donation, large or small, can make a difference. 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to the staff to assist with lost income.
The team at Poplar has a deep sense of loyalty and love for their guests. It is inspiring. I’ve heard it referred to as CHEERS where everyone knows your name. This is an understatement. Our staff makes birthday cards and homemade cakes for guests, we love the twilight league, The IRISH and all of the regulars. We treasure the stories and memories shared over the years by numerous guests. All of this resonates a message of FAMILY. And your family is hurting now.
I am blessed to work with some of the most talented, kind and hard working people in the food and beverage industry. We have drawn on each other’s strengths and leaned on each other for support. They are our heroes. They show up everyday for us. It's our turn to show up for them.
On behalf of the entire Par 3 team we thank you for your kindness and support. It is because of people like you that we know we will get through this together. When the concerns of the virus are behind us, we look forward to welcoming you back to Par 3 and thanking you in person for your generosity. Until that beautiful day please stay safe and stay well.
