Palliative Care Fund for Kanturk Community Hospital

Hi, I'm raising funds for the palliative care bed unit in Kanturk Community Hospital in memory of my sister Phyllis who passed away in September this year after her valiant battle with breast cancer.

To honour her, my wife and I along with a band of others have decided to walk the original route from Marathon to Athens on the 10th November 2024.

We decided to do this, in aid of the hospital, to recognise the exceptional care and support my sister received during her stay there.

The hospital provided not only medical treatment but also compassion and comfort during challenging times.

Kanturk Community Hospital offers a wonderful "home from home" environment when people need it most and by raising funds I hope to give back to the hospital and staff that played such a vital role at the end of her journey.
