Paljor Rabten Road Construction Project
Tashi's Village, Karnataka, South India
Every year, before the monsoon season begins, my hometown villagers work together with their limited tools on repairing and maintaining the unpaved silty gravelly road that is situated on a downhill slope.
Despite everyone's efforts, year after year, the rain washes the top soil creating gullies and potholes. Usually, this results in saturated, unstable and slippery roads.
Currently, my people are proposing to build an asphalt road. Few families have already donated, but we still need more budget to ensure this project is a success. They are now seeking help from anyone who can contribute a little to any larger donations! Like myself here, my fellow village mates from Europe and North America are also seeking donations to make this dream project a success.
