Painting for Malawi

Hi everyone! I am raising money for Kettie, a 21-year-old Malawian girl. My name is Laura and in December I will travel to Malawi, a small and extremely poor country in eastern Africa. I will be joining my uncle, who has been sharing his surgical expertise with the local hospitals for years on end. Through his work, he got in touch with the entrepreneurial village Green Malata, where underprivileged children and young adults are educated to become small entrepreneurs; bakers, tailors, electricians and much more. Why? Because children in Malawi, even when they finish school, rarely find any form of employment.

Kettie's father teaches carpentry at Green Malata and hasn’t been able to save enough money to pay for his daughter's education (nursing) at the Phalombe Hospital. He recently had a serious accident in which the minibus he was in knocked over 3 times, leaving him without the possibility to raise the required money.

Now I have made it my personal goal to support Kettie Kafwafwa by selling homemade paintings and raising the money for her 3-year education (€800 a year) and the school supplies she requires.

For every donation over €40, I will make a small painting (20x20cm) specifically for you and you will make someone immensely happy with the chance of a future. For larger donations, I can create a large painting or multiple paintings. And finally, we will also organise a painting course in collaboration with Gilde Opleidingen for the children in the entrepreneurial village, Green Malata. All the money above the amount to be raised, will be donated to this colorful day and Green Malata! ☀️
