Recently, the Texas government ordered all major cities to remove political infrastructure or risk losing funding. Today, in Dallas's Cedar Springs/Oak Lawn neighborhood—the heart of the LGBTQ community—rainbow crosswalks were removed. This action was deeply disheartening, as these crosswalks were a vibrant symbol of pride, visibility, and hope for so many people. In response, I want to turn my own home into a beacon of support by painting it in rainbow colors. Because my house is private property, it doesn't fall under the new mandate, and I hope it can stand as a visible reminder that the LGBTQ community is here to stay.

Visibility is so important, especially in Texas, where LGBTQ people are often treated as less than equal citizens. I believe that no amount of political action can erase our existence or our pride. By painting my house, I hope to inspire others, create a sense of belonging, and remind the world that we are not going anywhere.

The funds raised will go directly toward paint, painting supplies, and water for volunteers who help bring this project to life. If there are any additional needs, like event support for ongoing community initiatives, funds will also cover that.
