Paint for Unity: Woodhaven Mural Project

The Woodhaven Mural Project consists of 3 Woodhaven residents eager to beautify their Woodhaven and sister neighborhood, Richmond Hill, by painting 7 walls, four underpasses, dividing the neighborhoods. We have gained support of several local civic groups, political leaders, and most importantly the schools, three of which will host fieldtrips to participate. We are optimistic, with the community coming together to paint, there will be a greater sense of stewardship.

After the children have a hand in painting, we will open the opportunity for the entire community to participate. We are hopeful this project will bring our diverse community together, giving everyone a sense of place/belonging, encourage more art in Queens, and improve the conditions in areas needing attention.
