If it weren’t for God, we most definitely would NOT have pursued adoption at all, let alone a second time. Too risky, too expensive, too scary, and all around, just too hard.
But we believe babies deserve the gift of life, even when their mamas find themselves in circumstances in which they cannot parent. And we trust a God who calls us to LOVE—even when it is risky, expensive, scary, and hard—and promises to take care of us through it all.
In the adoption world, we’ve heard a lot of complaining about cost, which we can certainly understand. But at the end of the day, caring for people in crises is expensive, and the money has to come from somewhere. We desperately want to do right by these women, who are making an extremely hard and good choice for their babies and themselves. We want them to have an advocate, safe living arrangements, treatment, counseling, etc.
Bottom line—we feel so privileged to bear the financial burden of these women in crisis, and we hope you feel privileged to bear it along with us.
The total cost of our adoption will be $40,000-$45,000 to cover items like birth mother expenses, legal fees, agency fees, and travel. We are so grateful for your prayer and support to bear some of these costs with us!
