Paddle the Bay 2025: Slieve League to Bundoran
Donation protected
Thank you everyone involved and everyone who donated to this year's Paddle thee Bay - We really appreciate it! We completed the paddle on August 22nd, but will leave the fundraiser open for another few days.
This year, funds raised from Paddle the Bay will go directly towards subsidising the salary of a full-time youth counsellor at the Bundoran Community Centre. This vital role will provide young people in the area with access to a range of support services delivered in comfort, privacy, and confidence.
Returning for this year's 40km paddle across Donegal Bay are Ryan Allen (Irish Gap Year) and James Garvey (Rossnowlagh Surf School). They're joined by new team members Iarom Madden (Surf Coach & Physicist) and Oisín Armstrong (Madden's Bridge Bar) for the challenge — a journey from the foot of Sliabh League cliffs to the Bundoran Boat Cé.
The Bundoran Community Centre is actively recruiting for the new youth counsellor, with all funds from this year’s paddle ringfenced to support this role.
Last year’s Paddle the Bay raised funds to outfit purpose-built counselling suites at the Centre, including the creation of the Red Bull Suite — a state-of-the-art meeting and logistical support facility for visiting Red Bull Athletes.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far. We look forward to paddling across the bay once again this August — likely mid to late in the month — and making a positive impact in the lives of young people in our community.
