Paddle for Hope: Support Cancer Survivors

The Maine Dragon Boat Club is a NonProfit 501(c)3 that was founded in 2023. We currently have the use of a 20 paddler boat that we currently don’t own.

We would like to purchase a 10 paddler boat for the club and have it dedicated to starting an all cancer survivor team.

To have a smaller boat for cancer survivors that they can exercise in, bond in, and provide a floating support group, would be very helpful in enriching their lives.

In the past 2 years we have offered free community paddles to anyone that has shown up at our site on Pennesseewassee Lake in Norway, Maine. The first year we hosted 120 people and the second year 320 people tried dragon boating.

Our goal is to continue to grow and form an all cancer survivor team as well as meet the needs of other groups that may feel more comfortable in a smaller boat.

We are the only Dragon Boat in Maine. We are educating our community and others about the sport of dragon boating.
