Our Mission
The PAD girls Campaign is a movement founded in 2016 with a powerful purpose: to support rural African girls by providing them with free sanitary pads, allowing them to manage their menstrual cycles with dignity and continue attending school without disruption.
Why We Exist
Founder Ngugi Vere was deeply moved during his charity work when he discovered a heart-breaking reality—many rural girls miss school during their periods due to lack of proper sanitary wear. Some are forced to use newspapers, cow dung, or old rags as substitutes for pads, which leads to discomfort, health risks, and emotional distress.
Worse still, some girls are driven to sleep with older men in exchange for sanitary products—exposing them to teen pregnancy, disease, and lifelong trauma. This is not just a menstrual health issue—this is a crisis affecting education, dignity, and the future of young girls.
What We Do
- Through your support, we:
- Provide free sanitary pads to rural girls
- Supply essential hygiene items such as:
- Roll-on deodorant
- Soap
- Tissues
- Toothpaste
- School uniforms
- Socks and shoes
Conduct empowerment sessions to:
- Promote confidence and pride in womanhood
- Encourage school attendance
- Foster love and support among young women
Our aim is not only to provide products but to nurture a generation of confident, educated, and empowered young women.
