Paco and Barbara

One of our beloved members of the agility community needs our help.

As many of you know, Paco and his wife Barbara were in the process of relocating to the United States. They spent a lot of money on lawyers and processing of paperwork to obtain a visa allowing them to live, work and contribute to the good of our community and country for three years. They did everything by the book, but suddenly it wasn’t enough. With zero warning, they were denied re-entry despite proper documentation, and had their dream taken away with the strike of a pen.

They were promised safety and freedom to work in the U.S. and instead were betrayed and treated unfairly. This is the reality that we are living these days. Immigration is a complex process, it’s not cheap, it’s not guaranteed, and doing it by “the rules” is now nothing short of random, cruel, and dizzying.

But what do Paco and Barbara have that most people in their situation do not have? Most people do not have an entire agility community looking out for them. Most people do not have the support of this crazy dog world that we live in that has proven over and over that we take care of our own. Paco and Barbara are a big part of this community.

The money collected from this campaign will go directly to them to help with lawyers and to restart their life back in Mexico. We will keep fighting to right the wrongs they were dealt and hopefully reinstate the visa that was approved and then taken away.
