Pacific NW Donations for Navajo Elders

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Puget Sound Professional Chapter and Lower Columbia/Willamette River Chapter are requesting cash donations to assist elders on the Navajo Nation affected by the imposed COVID-19 stay-at-home restrictions. Part of the reason for the stay-at-home order is to protect these precious knowledge keepers of the reservation.  The members of the chapter are fundraising to purchase and deliver basic essentials such as cleaning supplies, paper products, water, fresh vegetables, cloth/fabric masks, and pet food to these elders on the reservation.   The chapter members will be driving to the Navajo reservation with these donated goods by the end of June.  The members appreciate all your help in this effort and any donation will help make an impact.  We also welcome healthy food donations so please contact the organizer.
