Help Support Muslims in need this Ramadan

Charity is a very important part of Islam and is even more significant during Ramadan. Let's take advantage of this month, and make it our best month ever.

This Ramadan, Muslim Freedom Fund is collecting charity to help support fellow Muslims who are in precarious spaces in the Toronto area. Our focus is to assist our brothers and sisters who might be in detention, dealing with homelessness, or newly immigrated to Canada.

Your donations will go towards providing the following:

Iftar Meals and Box of Dates

We will be providing pre-prepared Iftar Meals (from local halal restaurants within the city). In addition to the meal, we will provide a box of dates.

Hygiene Kit

We will be donating 100 kits. Each kit will include the following items: Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Box of Masks and Hand Sanitizers, A Bar of Soap, Sanitary Pad, Socks, Deodorant, Razors, Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Lotion

Qurans and Prayer Mats

We will be providing 75 Qurans along with 75 prayer mats to individuals

Therapy Sessions

We will be paying for individuals to attend 2 Therapy Sessions with Canadian Muslim Counselling

Groceries for Community Fridge

We will be providing weekly groceries to our community fridge located at 10 Gateway Blvd during the month of Ramadan. The groceries will include fresh produce, fruits, various proteins (chicken, eggs, red meats), and non-perishable foods. There has been an increased need for food supply from individuals facing uncertainties acquiring food because of monetary and resource scarcity.

The community fridge is our way of meeting food insecurities within the community. The food within the refrigerator is free and easily accessible to the community.

Eid Toy Drive

Our goal is to provide children from vulnerable Muslim populations with Eid gifts this year. A portion of the funds will be used directly towards purchasing new toys, gift wrapping supplies, and treats for these families.

The Messenger of Allah (Peace be Upon Him) said: "Charity never decreases wealth. Rather, it increases it, it increases it, it increases it."
