My son Erik died in 2002 of a very rare brainstem abscess at 15 years old. Life has been pretty hard on myself and his brother to make ends meet. I had a couple of donations which have sat in the bank for several years because I didn't raise enough to buy him a headstone to put over his grave of his most favorite band, Goober & The Peas.

My goal is to place a stone on his grave with a photo of his hero Dan Miller (the lead singer) and his autograph. Erik was buried with Goober's CD. If you look them up on YouTube and type in 'Funky Cowboy,' Erik used to dress like a cowboy and dance when his hero sang.

I'm always the giver, but I really wish I could give Erik the headstone I want to give him as a final gift. Any money left over will be for decorations or flowers for special holidays or occasions. Anything would help me to give him a beautiful gift of love.
