We’ve been working day and night—hauling ladders, battling the weather, and giving our time and energy—to raise the colours high for everyone to see. And then, in the early hours, some low-life crept out with his hood up, armed with a pole, and ripped them down.

Cowardly. Disrespectful. And a direct insult to all the effort, unity, and pride that went into raising those colours in the first place.

But here’s the truth: we will not back down. If anything, this has only fired us up even more. Operation Raise the Colours is bigger than one act of vandalism. It’s about showing that for every flag torn down, we will promise to put 2 more up .

And let’s be clear: this movement is for everyone. All of the British public. All nationalities. All religions. All backgrounds. Operation Raise the Colours is about unity, not division. It is neither right nor left. It’s about standing side by side with pride, no matter who you are or where you come from.
